About Alison

Alison Alexander is Chair of Montgomeryshire Liberal Democrats and was the constituency’s Senedd candidate in 2021.

She is a trained journalist, horticulturist and ecologist who speaks French, Spanish and very rusty Mandarin Chinese. Her career has spanned local journalism, botanical horticulture and volunteer management and training within the community gardening movement.

She is Chair of BRACE (Buildling Resilience Against Climate Emergency) in her nearby town of Llanfyllin, a group that aims to find local solutions to the biodiversity and climate emergencies. The volunteers run a community garden, orchard, repair café and community fridge.
