Work for us
Could you help to deliver Welsh Liberal Democrat success in elections?
We’re recruiting talented and ambitious people ahead of major elections in 2026 (Senedd) and 2027 (local elections).
With a change to the voting system we have a massive opportunity to ensure increased liberal representation in the Senedd (Welsh Parliament).
We’re currently recruiting a Communications & Social Media Officer to join our growing team.
While previous experience would be a plus, we’re most interested in finding the right type of people. Self-starters, good team players, with excellent people and communication skills.
Communications & Social Media Officer
Salary: £27,000+ depending on experience (pro-rata)
Closing date: Wednesday, 30th April
Our Communications & Social Media Officer will ensure that the Welsh Liberal Democrat message is heard by voters across the country.
Using a mix of traditional and new/social media channels, with a focus on graphics, memes, and videos, the Comms Officer will work with party spokespeople to call out the failings of other political parties and promote a positive Welsh Lib Dem message.
This role is 3 days/week for the Welsh Liberal Democrats but we would draw attention to a similar role to be recruited in the office of Jane Dodds MS, our Party Leader, for 2 days/week. It is anticipated that both roles could be performed by a single individual.

Please also provide a CV of no more than 2 pages A4.

You don’t need to be a member of the Welsh Liberal Democrats, but we do expect employees to have sympathy with our aims and objectives.
Applicants are encouraged to inform us if any reasonable adjustments are needed to be made during any part of the recruitment process.
