Candidate Skills Training (Open to everyone wanting to improve their public speaking skills)

EFFECTIVE PUBLIC SPEAKING

Effective public speaking is a vital skill for anyone addressing a meeting, especially if they’re standing for election. This intensive training session will equip you with techniques to deliver an engaging and effective presentation. Speaking at Conference is a great place to start, and another session at the end of Sunday's proceedings will offer feedback on any speech you give over the weekend. This session is open to everyone but particularly worth attending if you're interested in standing at the next council, Senedd or Westminster elections.

‘Community politics’ is the basis of all good Liberal Democrat campaigns. Come and learn how to put this into practice, through your own local campaigning.

Surveys and petitions are an integral part of our year-round campaigning as a party. They’re excellent ways to collect day, and ensure we’re campaigning on the issues that matter most to local people. Come and hear ALDC’s best practice advice for campaigning with petitions and surveys.
