Getting to Conference
Cardiff boasts excellent transport links, connecting it seamlessly to the rest of Wales and beyond. The Holiday Inn Cardiff City Centre is ideally located in the heart of the city, just north of Cardiff Arms Park and the Principality Stadium. It is within a short walking distance of the city's train, bus, and coach stations. We strongly encourage all conference attendees to utilise public transport whenever possible.
Travelling to Cardiff by Train
Regular train services run to Cardiff Central Station from many locations across Wales.

The Holiday Inn is approximately a 10-minute walk from Cardiff Central Station:
- Exit the station on the north side (near Platform 1).
- Walk around the BBC Wales building and turn right onto Wood Street.
- Cross the road at a convenient point and turn left onto Westgate Street.
- Continue along Westgate Street, passing the Principality Stadium and Cardiff Arms Park.
- At the end of Westgate Street, turn left onto Castle Street.
- The Holiday Inn will be directly ahead of you.
Alternatively, there is a taxi rank outside the train station.
Travelling to Cardiff by Bus or Coach
Cardiff is well-connected by bus, with frequent services within the city and from nearby towns, as well as national operators providing routes from the rest of Wales and further afield.
Local Bus Services
The Holiday Inn is located at the junction of Castle Street and Westgate Street. Most local buses stop along these streets, leaving you with only a short walk to the venue. Some services terminate at the Cardiff Bus Interchange, adjacent to Cardiff Central Station, which is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The main local bus operators include Cardiff Bus, First Bus, Stagecoach and Adventure Travel.
TrawsCymru Services
TrawsCymru buses terminate at Greyfriars Road, about a 10-minute walk from the venue:
- When alighting, turn left, with the Park Plaza Hotel on your right.
- After passing the Hilton Hotel turn left, so that the Cardiff Castle walls are on your right.
- Bear right around the castle and past the Animal Wall.
- Just before reaching the river, the Holiday Inn will be on your left.
National Express Coaches
National Express coaches terminate at Sophia Gardens. From there:
- Exit the coach park and head south, keeping the river on your left.
- At the main road, turn left and cross the bridge.
- The Holiday Inn will be on your right.
FlixBus Services
FlixBus coaches terminate on Lloyd George Avenue, approximately a 20-minute walk to the Holiday Inn.
If you prefer not to walk from where you alight your bus, consider booking a taxi from a provider such as Veezu.
Travelling to Cardiff by Car
Parking at the Holiday Inn is limited, and we encourage attendees to travel by public transport where possible.

Avoid parking illegally on nearby streets, as you risk receiving a fixed penalty notice or having your vehicle clamped or towed away.
