Getting to Conference

Travelling to Llandrindod by Train

The Heart of Wales railway line runs through Llandrindod allowing you to get to Conference by train.

To check from routes and times from your nearest station to Llandrindod please use the Transport for Wales journey planner.

Llandrindod station is an easy 5 minute walk from the Conference venue. You should leave the station on the east side, where the main station building and TrawsCymru bus stops are. This may involve you crossing the foot bridge, which has a ramp for wheelchair users. Upon leaving the station turn right to walk along Station Crescent. At the junction with Temple Street (A483) turn right. After another minute or two of walking the Metropole Hotel & Spa will appear on your left hand side.

Travelling to Llandrindod by bus

As well as local buses the TrawsCymru T4 route runs through Llandrindod allowing connections to the rest of Wales.

There are direct TrawsCymru buses to Llandrindod from Newtown to the north and Cardiff to the south, with main stops at Pontypridd, Merthyr Tydfil and Brecon. Connections can be made to other TrawsCymru services in both Newtown and Brecon, with connections to the Cambrian railway line also available in Newtown.

The bus interchange in Llandrindod is a short 5 minute walk from the Conference venue. When you leave the bus interchange turn right to walk along Station Crescent. At the junction with Temple Street (A483) turn right. After another minute or two of walking the Metropole Hotel & Spa will appear on your left hand side.

Travelling to Llandrindod by Car

We would encourage you to travel to Conference by public transport wherever possible. If however you need to travel by car there is free parking available at the venue, with the car park at the rear of the hotel.
